Poem by a TO BE MOMMY.

Motherhood = New Me.

In regular cases parents discover child's talent but in my case my baby brought out my hidden talents,made me independent and innovative.
Countless changes,

Sharing few of them:

  1. I quit my job , no slavery anymore.
  2. Started working on brushing up my Homeopathic skills.
  3. Kick start to my writing and painting skills.
  4. My favorite pass time with an added reason I.e Shopping but this time it was more special as it was my pregnancy shopping.
  5. Attended all possible family functions , not hiding my baby bump in sari or dupatta but flaunting it in trendy gowns.
  6. Broke the stereotype of just rest during pregnancy by Celebrating my baby moon and my 27th birthday at Lonavla.
  7. Put on 20 kg weight just to see a pumpkin as a result of my 40 weeks journey.
  8. Yoga classes was the best decision ,as it helped me to find my inner peace.
  9. Reading online articles inspired me to make my pregnancy more happening.

9 months and 9 major changes brought in my daily routine just because of you My Champ.

My White Coat.

        I always use to ask my seniors that why it is mandatory for us to wear white coat & the answer was easy recognition by colleagues & patients.This reason couldn’t convince me, so wearing white coat became a liability, is it so that white coat is just for show off or just to discrete us from other citizens?

Thick white coat , was it really needed & how to forget those challenges with it;

  •  So uncomfortable to wear it whole day especially during hot summer
  • White is colour of cleanliness but when same white coat gets stained with inking pen or blood it gives us untidy look
  • Very difficult to wash & maintain.

    Than why was white coat selected for our profession; in which we have to daily deal with patients, at times soaked in blood & other body discharges to handle while dressing the wound, Ryle’s tube insertion, Foley's catheterization & many many more?

While going through an article I came out with few conclusion,

Reason For wearing a white coat;

* Easy recognition by colleagues & patients due to continuity of dress
* Carrying items in the pocket
* Keeping clothes clean.
* Emphasizing doctor status
* I have to/'it is expected’
* Preventing own contamination
*A symbol of cleanliness
* Preventing patient contamination
* Keeping warm
* A psychological barrier
* Other reasons

But are these the reason of Me wearing my White coat?

So I went ahead to find out the scientific reason which could convince me.

Doctors strove to become more scientific, in practice and in dress. The white coat served both purposes by providing a (supposedly) sterile work environment and soothing patients with its air of scientific authority. The traditional coat was beige, but doctors adopted white because the colour symbolizes life and purity.

Another study found that patients were much more likely to trust a doctor if they were wearing a white coat than if they were in scrubs.

Just as Soldiers fighting for us at border are having uniform,Policeman protecting us from terror wear Khaki,Doctors too should wear white coat, not to stand out from others but as white colour reminds us of our role as a healer.

A Doctor
  • Dedicated
  • Caring
  • Competent
  • Ethical
  • Selfless
  • Trustworthy
  • Lifelong Lerner
  • Service for all
Ultimately A NOBLE PROFESSION.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but if the doctor is cute, forget the fruit & Trust me White coat makes us look Cuter.
